Keyera's Northern Allowance is a tiered incentive program based on years of service, currently offered to employees working at the following locations: Grande Prairie Office, Wapiti, Simonette, Gold Creek, South Cheecham, and Fox Creek Terminal. Job Type: PermanentTHE POSITION
Supporting the Project Management Office (PMO), the Governance Advisor plays a key role in supporting Keyera's PMO by enabling effective and consistent project delivery. In this role, you will partner closely with senior leaders, project managers, business development, engineering, and enablement functions to uphold project governance standards, steward gate reviews, and strengthen accountability across the project portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Govern, maintain, and mature Keyera's stage‑gate project model PDS (Project Delivery System).
- Support project kickoff activities, governance plan development, and gate review facilitation, identifying assurance risks and opportunities to enable consistent, high‑quality decision‑making.
- Act as a key interface between business development, project management, engineering, and enablement support functions to ensure cohesive project governance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain fit‑for‑purpose guidelines, processes, work practices, and tools that drive consistency and excellence in project delivery.
- Track and report on PDS compliance, risks, actions, and variances using dashboards and KPI‑based performance insights.
- Support steering committee reviews and ensure decisions, outcomes, and lessons learned are clearly and accurately documented.
- Plan, facilitate, and support assurance workshops, including risk assessments, lessons learned sessions, and project health checks.
- Promote strong cross‑functional alignment among project managers, engineering, project controls, and operations to reinforce consistent governance practices.
- Contribute to the enhancement and evolution of governance frameworks, assurance tools, templates, and procedures to strengthen discipline and maturity across the PDS.
- Develop and deliver PDS‑related training materials and learning sessions to build organizational capability.
- Support site‑based projects by applying PMO processes to establish fit‑for‑purpose governance and reinforce Management of Change (MOC) requirements.
- Support audits of the governance framework and associated assurance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong and confident communicator with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences, including executives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.

- Objective, integrity-driven, and highly compliance‑oriented.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 8 years of experience supporting full lifecycle projects, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
- Direct experience leading project development or execution is preferred.
- Prior PMO or project governance experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with both greenfield and brownfield modification projects is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of governance frameworks, portfolio management, project controls, risk management, project change management, and assurance practices.
- Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑RMP, PMI‑POMCP, or AACE are considered assets.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) applied pragmatically in project‑delivery environments.
- Experience facilitating project assurance workshops and activities.
