Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Growth Account Representative, you will be responsible for directly increasing the sales pipeline and revenue by prospecting, qualifying, and advancing opportunities within the energy sector, while opening new revenue streams in emerging and underpenetrated markets. This role is accountable for turning targeted accounts and new markets into qualified pipeline, forecastable deals, and closed revenue that fuels company growth

This role is based out of
Edmonton, Alberta; however, we are also open to considering strong candidates located in
Calgary.

A Day in The Life

Revenue Generation: Account-Based Prospecting

  • Drive qualified pipeline creation by executing targeted, account-based prospecting against priority energy industry accounts.
    • Convert target accounts into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and revenue-backed opportunities.
    • Build and maintain a revenue-prioritized account list aligned to GTM strategy and deal size potential.
    • Research accounts to identify commercial triggers (regulatory pressure, cost exposure, operational inefficiencies) that lead to buying decisions.
    • Engage multiple buying stakeholders to accelerate deal velocity and increase deal size.
    • Position the SaaS solution in terms of ROI, cost avoidance, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.
    • Progress opportunities toward forecastable revenue outcomes.
    • Work collaboratively with Leadership to engage the proper internal stakeholders when appropriate to help facilitate deal progression and closing.
  • Collaborate with industry Subject Matter Experts to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Source and qualify net-new opportunities that can convert into pipeline dollars and first-close wins.
  • Advance early-stage deals through discovery and qualification with the goal of closing initial revenue.
  • Deliver market insight that enables leadership to invest where revenue can scale.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to meet customer needs

Pipeline Ownership, Deal Progression & Forecasting

  • Own the early-stage revenue pipeline, from first contact through qualified opportunity.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data to support forecasting accuracy and revenue visibility.
  • Track and report on revenue-leading indicators: SQLs created, Pipeline value ($), Conversion rates, Deal velocity, etc.
  • Actively manage deals forward by identifying blockers, securing next steps, and maintaining momentum.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to shorten sales cycles and increase win probability.

Deal Execution & Commercial Support

  • Manage the full early-stage sales motion, including qualification, demos, solution positioning, and deal advancement.
  • Drive opportunities toward close through clear mutual action plans and commercial alignment
  • Lead and support RFP responses by coordinating inputs, shaping commercial positioning, and ensuring timely, competitive submissions that advance deals toward close.
  • Prepare and manage pricing, quotations, and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with revenue targets, margin expectations, and customer requirements.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership and Finance to structure deals that maximize win probability while protecting long-term account value.
  • Manage revisions, approvals, and negotiations to reduce friction and accelerate time to signature.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes that create or accelerate buying urgency
  • Optimize prospecting strategies and outbound campaigns based on what converts to pipeline and revenue.
  • Share field insights that inform product positioning and upsell potential.
  • Continuously improve messaging and account strategy to increase deal size and close rates.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in growth, business development or sales.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, or equivalents) is an asset.
  • Background in SaaS sales is an asset.
  • Experience in waste management, energy, industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) services, or environmental compliance is an asset.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup is considered an asset.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey value clearly and confidently.
  • Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales processes, qualifying methodologies, and high-volume prospecting practices.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple outreach sequences and follow-ups while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Resilience & Drive: Comfortable with rejection; persistent and motivated to achieve daily and monthly targets.
  • Curiosity: Eager to understand customer needs, industry context, and product features.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient using CRM tools, sales engagement software, and basic productivity tools (Excel/Sheets, Outlook, etc.).
  • Team-Oriented: Collaborates effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
