We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial for the success of our distribution operations. You will manage the preparation of packages, verify contents against orders, and coordinate with various shipping carriers. This is a hands-on position that requires a commitment to Safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll be part of a dedicated team that values efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of items being shipped against pick lists and customer orders.
- Package goods appropriately to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate materials.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and any required customs documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS).
- Maintain an organized and tidy shipping station, ensuring all supplies are stocked and accessible.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other shipping equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of shipping supplies and communicate needs for replenishment.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse functions as needed to support overall logistics operations.
- Report any shipping errors, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred. Must be able to perform moderate Lifting and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is an advantage. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Good communication skills. A strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all protocols is non-negotiable.
