Position Summary
Under the direction of the Table Games Assistant Manager, the position of Floor Manager is also known as Pit Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the gaming operations on a day-to-day basis at the site level while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. This role ensures adherence to all policies, procedures and implements all new gaming operations initiatives as directed. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Helps to create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day;
- Monitors table games operations; schedules and supervises employees; verifies timesheets; assigns shift work assignments; trains employees on table games;
- Participates in all table games marketing initiatives and assists with implementation of these initiatives;
- Verifies jackpots and table games wins on assigned tables;
- Establishes and maintains table limits for each game;
- Assesses active table game performance and results; reporting to the Table Games Assistant Manager;
- Inspects the games area for repair, maintenance and facilities reporting;
- Responds to, resolves and/or reports issues as escalated;
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments;
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
- Supervises and organizing a section of the gaming floor to the highest standard of efficiency, patron service and security in accordance with the procedures and policies of the company and the NBLGC and its amendments;
- Maintains confidentiality of all Great Canadian trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, guest list, marketing plans and all other confidential information;
- Ensures prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management or any observation of illegal acts, internal ethics violations, Anti-Money Laundering violations, FINTRAC violations etc;
- Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the gaming team while providing continuous coaching for success to achieve high performance;
- Offers highest possible level of Guest Service resulting in a maximum level of guest enjoyment and return play;
- Supports the GEM program with team member awareness initiatives and measurement of guest satisfaction;
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience;
- Must have previous Tables Games Supervisor experience;
- Computer literacy in MS Office;
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication;
- People-focused and committed to service excellence;
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed;
- Ability to successfully obtain a Responsible Beverage certification;
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick).
Work Environment Considerations
- This role requires extended period of standing, fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise; non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
