About the School

Located in the heart of Kinver, Stourbridge, Dunsley Hall School is a nurturing environment for up to 100 pupils aged 5 to 16 with complex needs. About You

As our Head Teacher, you will be a visionary leader, ready to build a new team and shape the educational experience for our students.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Educational Leadership: Craft and implement a vision that embodies our ethos of compassion, inclusion, and personalized learning. Ensure the school consistently meets Independent School Standards and the Education Inspection Framework.
  • Safeguarding: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing and reporting concerns while fostering a robust safeguarding culture.
  • Curriculum Enhancement: Tailor the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring an engaging learning journey.
  • Pastoral Care and SEN Advocacy: Champion a nurturing approach that emphasizes emotional well-being and advocate for the rights of our SEN students.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and support staff, promoting continuous professional growth and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external partners to create a cohesive support network.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Primary/Secondary teaching experience.
  • Relevant degree and/or NPQH (not essential).
  • Experience working with SEN students and a deep understanding of their unique needs.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
