We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our Salt Lake City, Utah team. This role is essential for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and support various logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and warehouse regulations.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safe operation.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This role operates primarily within a warehouse environment. It requires frequent operation of heavy machinery and adherence to strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
