Seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to manage outgoing shipments in our Sacramento, California warehouse. This role is essential for ensuring that all orders are accurately prepared, labeled, and dispatched to our customers, playing a key part in our logistics network. You will be responsible for verifying order accuracy, selecting appropriate shipping materials, and coordinating with carriers. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy and Safety are required. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and efficient supply chain operation. Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of picked orders against shipping documentation.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Package orders securely and label them correctly with shipping information.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments before they leave the facility.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipping status and potential delays.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and logistics principles.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
