Join our fast-paced warehouse operations as a Receiving Clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada. This pivotal role ensures that all incoming goods are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly stocking inventory. A keen eye for detail and a systematic approach are vital for success in this position. This role is integral to our logistics chain, ensuring that materials are available for production and fulfillment processes. We are committed to providing a safe work environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and use required PPE. The ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting, is a necessary component of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies, reporting issues promptly.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage and transport received goods to designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring clear pathways and safe storage.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to manage inbound freight schedules and resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently as needed (certification may be required).
- Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are followed, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Respond to inquiries regarding incoming shipments and stock availability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory control role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
