We are hiring a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Los Angeles, California! This position is critical for ensuring the accurate and efficient intake of all incoming goods. You will be responsible for verifying shipments, identifying discrepancies, and meticulously documenting all received items. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Your role directly contributes to the integrity of our inventory and the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and meticulously inspect all incoming merchandise against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately identify, document, and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Enter received goods data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Apply appropriate labels and tags to all incoming inventory.
- Organize and stage received items in their designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the proper use of PPE at all times.
- Support inventory control efforts through participation in cycle counts and stock audits.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal logistics teams.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or related warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, data entry, and familiarity with WMS software.
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management best practices.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A strong dedication to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
