Job Summary:
We are hiring a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy facility in New York City, New York. This role is central to managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods within our logistics operations. You will be responsible for efficiently receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately stocking incoming inventory. On the shipping side, you will prepare outgoing orders, ensure proper packaging and labeling, and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups. This position demands organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urban environment. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandated use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is crucial. Your role ensures the integrity of our inventory and the timely delivery of products to our customers. Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage.
  • Accurately document and enter received goods into the inventory system.
  • Stock received items in their designated locations.
  • Process outgoing orders, including picking, packing, and labeling.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and using PPE.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
