Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper placement.
- Transport inventory to and from designated warehouse locations, including staging and storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Maintain clear and organized records of inventory movements and locations.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to optimize workflow and meet operational targets in our logistics department.
- Be prepared for occasional tasks involving moderate lifting.
- Contribute to a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Current forklift operator certification and a proven track record of safe operation. Minimum of one year of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution setting. In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices for forklift handling. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This logistics role demands a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
