Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with precision and care.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safe operation and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and warehouse protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control measures, such as cycle counting and stock placement.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to streamline logistics processes.
- Be prepared for tasks that involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
Possess a valid forklift operator certification. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting. Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety standards and forklift operating procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. High school diploma or GED. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Dependability and a strong work ethic are essential. This role is key to our logistics success, demanding a high level of responsibility and a constant focus on safety.
