Are you an energetic individual seeking a rewarding career in warehousing? We're hiring an Order Picker for our Portland, Oregon facility. This role is vital for ensuring our customers receive their correct orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for efficiently picking items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining a high level of order accuracy. This position offers a dynamic work environment where attention to detail and speed are key. As an Order Picker, you will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. We provide comprehensive training and a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated locations based on order sheets or electronic devices.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Verify order contents against shipping documents to prevent errors.
- Operate order picking equipment, such as pallet jacks or reach trucks, safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Be prepared for tasks that may require moderate to heavy lifting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and shipping departments.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily picking goals.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus. Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Experience with RF scanners or other warehouse technology is beneficial. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. High school diploma or equivalent. A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all logistics procedures. Reliability and punctuality are essential for success in this role. This position is key to our supply chain, requiring dedication and a keen eye for detail.
