Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual looking for a rewarding role in Portland, Oregon? Our logistics company is hiring a Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing shipments, generating shipping labels, verifying shipping addresses, and ensuring packages are correctly routed for delivery. You'll work closely with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any shipping-related issues. This role requires accuracy in documentation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will also be responsible for maintaining shipping supplies, ensuring the shipping area is tidy, and assisting with inventory counts as needed. A commitment to safety is crucial; you will be expected to follow all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE and safe lifting practices when handling packages. This position is vital to our supply chain operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a problem-solving attitude, and basic computer proficiency. Experience in a shipping or logistics environment is preferred. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.
