Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Document all incoming and outgoing shipments accurately in the system.
- Prepare and package outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain organized staging areas for both incoming and outgoing freight.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Manage warehouse space effectively to ensure clear and safe access.
- Ensure proper lifting techniques are used when handling inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
