We are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our facility in Washington, D.C. This leadership role is pivotal in managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including inventory control, staff supervision, workflow optimization, and ensuring adherence to all Safety regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient logistics processes, managing resources effectively, and fostering a productive and safe work environment for your team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in warehouse management. Your contributions will be essential to the seamless operation of our supply chain. We require all personnel to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety protocols diligently.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling and task assignment.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.
- Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and Safety.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate or oversee the operation of warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, Safety protocols, and use of PPE.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
- Experience with staff supervision and team development.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to handle moderate to heavy Lifting tasks as needed for oversight.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
