We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. This role is critical to our daily operations, ensuring that inventory is handled correctly and that shipments are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong operating skills, a deep understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a productive work environment. You will perform routine equipment checks and adhere strictly to all guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proper lifting techniques are also a key component of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and secure transport of goods.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control, stock placement, and order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent strains and injuries.
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety and logistics best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
