Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery, including conveyors, sorters, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting warehouse operations.
- Install and configure new equipment as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of PPE, to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Assist in training other staff on the proper and safe operation of equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certifications in mechanics, electrical systems, or related fields preferred.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing warehouse or industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation systems and logistics technology.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
