We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing, processing, and dispatching outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of shipping procedures. You will work closely with the warehouse team, carriers, and sometimes customers to ensure all shipments meet our high standards. Your primary focus will be on accuracy in documentation and timely dispatch. Strong communication skills are essential as you will interact with various internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders and documentation.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging for transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the inventory management system.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some lifting.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipping status.
- Troubleshoot any shipping discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
