Skilled Forklift Operators are needed at our growing logistics facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are seeking individuals with excellent forklift operation skills and a strong commitment to safety. Your primary responsibilities will include moving palletized goods, loading and unloading trailers, and transporting inventory within the warehouse. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to strictly follow all safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE. This role demands vigilance, precision, and the ability to manage materials efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a keen awareness of their surroundings and be adept at handling various warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., reach trucks, order pickers, electric pallet jacks).
- Efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock placement.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety standards and use required PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned in a warehouse setting.
Qualifications:
- Certified or licensed forklift operator with verifiable experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including intermittent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
- Understanding of basic warehouse management systems.
- Good communication abilities.
