We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular inventory audits, managing stock levels, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. A commitment to Safety and operational excellence is paramount. You will work closely with warehouse staff to uphold inventory standards and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain. Key duties:
- Performing cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with purchasing for replenishment.
- Identifying and managing slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of all warehouse goods.
- Developing and recommending improvements to inventory control processes.
- Adhering to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the appropriate use of PPE.
- Assisting with other warehouse tasks, potentially including some Lifting.
Requirements:
Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role. Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy. Must be comfortable with physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles is beneficial. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. This position is critical for maintaining the efficiency of our logistics network.
