Our dynamic logistics company is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately receiving, documenting, and organizing incoming shipments. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring a smooth flow of goods through our warehouse operations. You will be the first point of contact for incoming products, making your role vital to our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately record received goods using our inventory management system.
- Tag and label all received items according to established procedures.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and vendors promptly.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the receiving area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE .
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety guidelines.
- Comfortable with manual labor and lifting requirements.
