We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage items for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and inventory software.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of required PPE .
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of general Logistics principles is a plus.
