This role is pivotal in ensuring that all goods are processed accurately and efficiently upon arrival and departure. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments and the last to handle outgoing orders, making your role critical to our supply chain success. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, stocking received goods, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate records. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a dedication to safety are essential. We provide a supportive team atmosphere and opportunities for professional growth. Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean and organized.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation procedures.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
