Become a vital part of our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia, as a Warehouse Associate. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, accurately picking and packing orders, organizing inventory, and preparing items for dispatch. A keen eye for detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety are key requirements for this position. You will operate manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks, and may receive training on powered equipment. Our commitment to safety means that all associates must adhere strictly to company guidelines and correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves considerable physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Stock received goods in designated areas and maintain inventory organization.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and packaging.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Support overall warehouse and logistics functions.
- Perform duties requiring moderate to heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE use.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
