We are seeking a motivated and dependable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to transport materials throughout the facility. Attention to detail is paramount as you will be responsible for accurate inventory counts and proper handling of goods to prevent damage. Compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position involves significant manual labor, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, can work independently or as part of a team, and have a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and materials throughout the warehouse using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Inspect equipment before and after use.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and lifting requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
