We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our facility in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials within our logistics center. This position is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring inventory accuracy. Safety is our top priority, and we provide all necessary PPE. The role involves frequent lifting and requires a high level of precision and responsibility. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and trailers.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated racking and floor locations.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and company protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve logistics objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Willingness to consistently wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
