We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing items for distribution or storage. Maintaining an organized and safe receiving area is crucial. We provide all necessary PPE to ensure your safety. This role may involve some lifting and physical activity, so a moderate level of fitness is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify them against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and document any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and stage received items for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with shipping departments and vendors regarding discrepancies or returns.
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics documentation.
