Join our bustling distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Distribution Center Associate! We are seeking energetic individuals to contribute to our vital logistics operations. In this role, you will be hands-on with a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming goods, accurately stocking inventory, picking and packing orders efficiently, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Your role is fundamental to ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for our valued customers. We are looking for team players who are committed to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence. Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse setting is preferred, and we offer comprehensive training. Your attention to detail and dedication to following established procedures will be key to success. Upholding a safe work environment is non-negotiable; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires the physical capacity for frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and sustained periods of standing, walking, and bending. A foundational understanding of logistics and warehouse management systems will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming merchandise.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Stage products for shipping and assist with loading.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (training available).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and metrics.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
- Understanding of safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations.
