We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from designated areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be expected to perform daily equipment inspections and adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE. This is a critical position within our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and guidelines related to logistics.
- Contribute to a positive and productive warehouse atmosphere.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety and logistics operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and reflective vests.
