We have an immediate opening for a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate in our Fort Worth, Texas facility. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal departments to coordinate the movement of materials. A strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are crucial for success in this position. You will operate material handling equipment and adhere to all warehouse safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages and discrepancies.
- Verify accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments received and dispatched.
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving area is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist in inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
