We are looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their correct orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders or requisitions. This role demands a high level of accuracy, speed, and physical stamina. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are required to follow strict Safety guidelines and wear the necessary PPE . This position involves considerable Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. Understanding the flow of Logistics within a distribution center is key to optimizing your performance. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to locate and confirm items.
- Ensure the correct quantity and product type are picked for each order.
- Prepare picked items for packing and shipping, maintaining product integrity.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, including proper equipment operation.
- Wear all required PPE , such as safety vests, gloves, and footwear.
- Perform frequent Lifting of items ranging from light to moderately heavy.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean picking area.
- Support overall warehouse Logistics by meeting picking quotas and timelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels accurately.
- Proficiency in performing repetitive tasks and sustained physical activity.
- Capability for frequent Lifting and carrying of items.
- Commitment to following Safety rules and using PPE .
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
