Seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Kansas City, Missouri team. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend reorder points.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse using WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate receiving and put-away processes.
- Manage returned goods and process them appropriately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements.
- Train other staff on inventory procedures as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including proper lifting and PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
