Seeking a diligent Material Handler for our Provo, Utah facility. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in managing the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and safety at every step. This role is central to our Logistics operations, involving the loading, unloading, and transportation of goods. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, organizing stock, and ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed. A strong focus on Safety and the correct use of PPE is required. If you have a solid understanding of warehouse procedures and are committed to maintaining an organized and secure work environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and production areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage locations.
- Inspect equipment before use to ensure it is in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Ensure materials are properly identified and staged for outgoing shipments.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Understanding of Logistics and material flow.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
