We are seeking an organized and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to lead our operations in Detroit, Michigan. As a Coordinator, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, including managing staff, coordinating inbound and outbound **logistics**, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations. A paramount focus is placed on **safety** compliance and the correct use of **PPE**. The role may involve some physical tasks, including **Lifting**.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Manage inbound and outbound **logistics** operations, ensuring timely processing.
- Oversee inventory management, cycle counts, and stock organization.
- Ensure all **safety** regulations and procedures are followed meticulously.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on operational procedures and **safety** protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Coordinate with other departments and external **logistics** partners.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enforce the consistent use of **PPE** among staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in **Logistics** or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and **logistics**.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Understanding of **safety** standards and best practices.
- Ability to **Lifting** up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Commitment to enforcing **PPE** compliance.
