Join our dedicated team as a Material Handler in Atlanta, Georgia! This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse and the smooth flow of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes receiving, storing, picking, and staging goods to support various departments and customer orders. Your ability to operate material handling equipment and adhere to stringent Safety protocols will be essential. We are looking for organized, reliable individuals with a strong focus on detail and a commitment to a secure work environment. Responsibilities include unloading inbound shipments, transporting materials using forklifts and other equipment, organizing stock in designated areas, and supporting outbound logistics. You will also contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse. Strict adherence to all Safety guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to ensure a safe workplace for everyone. This role involves significant physical activity, including extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and frequent, heavy Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stage materials for production, picking, or shipping.
- Organize and maintain inventory in an orderly manner.
- Follow all Safety procedures and regulations for material handling.
- Wear and properly utilize required PPE at all times.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform rigorous physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to wearing and using PPE as required.
