Join our growing warehouse team in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Picker/Packer! This role is critical for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and promptly. As a Picker/Packer, your main responsibilities will include selecting items from inventory based on order lists or using scanning technology, and then carefully packing these items for shipment. You’ll be moving throughout the warehouse, contributing to the smooth flow of goods. Accuracy and efficiency are paramount in this position, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be required to wear designated PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, and adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines. Experience with warehouse management systems or scanners is a plus, but training will be provided. This role involves a significant amount of physical activity, including walking, standing, and regular Lifting of items. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and work well within a team. Your contribution is vital to our overall Logistics success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse locations based on order fulfillment requirements.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack products securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring protection during transit.
- Apply correct shipping labels and necessary documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing station and work area.
- Adhere strictly to all established Safety procedures and protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock organization as needed.
- Perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting and material handling.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse Logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics is helpful.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and correct use of PPE .
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
