We are actively recruiting for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Raleigh, North Carolina. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe movement of goods within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to transport inventory, load and unload trucks, and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are required to strictly adhere to company Safety guidelines and utilize all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong work ethic. You will be instrumental in managing the flow of products, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of shipments. Experience with different warehouse machinery and a commitment to keeping your work area clean and organized are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and materials being moved.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE.
- Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Certification to operate forklifts is required.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting, up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
