Are you an experienced Inventory Control Specialist looking for a new challenge in Houston, Texas? We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, supporting efficient logistics operations and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential, as you will use them to track inventory movements, manage stock locations, and generate reports. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices is required. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to safety standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While direct lifting may be less frequent, the ability to understand and manage warehouse operations where lifting occurs is important. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management.
- Champion safety practices and ensure adherence to PPE requirements.
