Are you a certified Forklift Operator seeking a challenging role? We are hiring for a Forklift Operator position in Kansas City, Missouri! As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role requires precision, speed, and a strong adherence to safety protocols. You will handle a variety of materials and ensure they are properly stored and moved within our warehouse. We provide comprehensive safety training, all necessary PPE, and emphasize a culture of safety in all our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Accurately stack and store merchandise in designated locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics and operational procedures to ensure efficiency.
- Assist other warehouse personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent understanding of forklift safety and operational procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
