Join our state-of-the-art distribution center in Detroit, Michigan, as a Warehouse Technician! We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse equipment and systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining the overall productivity and integrity of our logistics operations. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various pieces of warehouse machinery, including conveyors, forklifts, automated systems, and other material handling equipment. Your expertise will be critical in minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. You will also perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to rigorously follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to a safe working environment. The ability to perform lifting up to 75 pounds is essential, as well as comfort working in a dynamic warehouse setting. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct safety inspections of all warehouse machinery.
- Operate and maintain forklifts and other heavy equipment.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and material handling as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment repair.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
