We are actively seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role is vital to our overall logistics chain, ensuring that goods are handled properly from receipt to shipment. Your proficiency in operating forklifts and adherence to safety standards are paramount to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Safely transport products to and from designated areas, including receiving, storage, and shipping docks.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any operational issues or necessary maintenance.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to products and equipment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform other material handling tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven ability to handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Physical capability for tasks involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and regulations.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and varying weather conditions.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required.
- A strong commitment to Safety.
