We are looking for skilled and reliable Reach Truck Operators to join our dynamic warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in our distribution center. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations, ensuring smooth inventory management and timely order fulfillment. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move pallets of goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers as needed.
- Accurately pick and put away inventory in designated locations.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Adhere to company policies and operational standards to ensure optimal performance.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
- Support other warehouse operations as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification for operating reach trucks preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including overtime if necessary.
- A commitment to Safety first in all tasks.
