We are looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You’ll be responsible for picking items from inventory and packing them with care for shipment, playing a vital part in our overall logistics and fulfillment process. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning devices.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify the contents of each order against the packing slip.
- Operate RF scanners to track picked items and update inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming inventory.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies in inventory.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the logistics department through teamwork and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with scanning technology is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, including safety vests and footwear.
- Understanding of fundamental logistics and warehouse operations.
