We are looking for a proactive Shipping Clerk to join our Logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of orders. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipments, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficiency and success of our warehouse operations. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, and you will be required to adhere to all Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE. This position requires good organizational skills and the ability to handle materials that may involve moderate Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Ensure that all shipments comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
- Support the Logistics team to ensure on-time shipments.
- Perform tasks involving occasional Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability for tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Commitment to following all Safety protocols and wearing PPE.
- Understanding of Logistics operations.
