We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately and efficiently select and prepare customer orders for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to navigate our warehouse space effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy. Your daily tasks will involve using scanning devices to locate products, picking items from shelves, consolidating orders, and preparing them for the packing station. You will work closely with the inventory control team to report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position involves considerable physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs. Experience with order picking equipment and warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for packing.
- Report inventory discrepancies or damaged items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
