Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory management. Your expertise will ensure that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and potentially external partners to maintain data integrity and improve overall inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of inventory control principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential for success in this position. This role is key to the success of our supply chain and logistics functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new inventory control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting and moving of inventory as needed for audits.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
