We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Warehouse Technician in our San Jose, California location. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and operational support for our warehouse equipment and facility. You will play a key part in ensuring the optimal functioning of our logistics operations by proactively addressing equipment needs and troubleshooting issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of warehouse systems, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Your responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and assisting with the installation of new equipment. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and the use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and operations team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical role within a warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various warehouse conditions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety procedures.
