Join our bustling warehouse as a Picker/Packer in Durham, North Carolina! We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to accurately pick and pack customer orders for our expanding logistics operations. This role is vital to ensuring our customers receive their products quickly and correctly. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse using scanning devices, selecting items based on order specifications, and carefully packaging them for shipment. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy is essential. We prioritize safety in our workplace, and all employees will be provided with the necessary PPE. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team in the exciting world of e-commerce fulfillment and distribution. You'll contribute directly to customer satisfaction through your diligent work. This is a physically demanding role that involves frequent movement and lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists and scanning technology.
- Inspect items for defects and ensure quality before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing and preparing for shipment.
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
- Participate in training sessions to improve efficiency and learn new processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order specifications.
- Familiarity with hand-held scanners and inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse safety best practices.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
