We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy logistics hub in Des Moines, Iowa! You will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting goods throughout the warehouse. Physical stamina is important, as the role involves periodic Lifting and requires you to be alert and mobile. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from various warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and retrieval.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe and productive team environment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
- Good communication skills.
